Common Check Valve Materials

Check valve is a valve installed in the pipeline to prevent the backflow of media. Check valves can be used on many types of pipelines such as over water, oil and gas, etc. To do this, you only need to use different materials of check valves.

Check valve commonly used materials are cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, brass, plastic, etc.

Cast iron check valve: 

mainly used for water, oil, water vapor type of pipeline, not resistant to high temperature and high pressure.

Cast steel check valve: 

has the characteristics of high pressure and high temperature resistance, mainly used for high temperature liquid, high pressure gas and other media.

Stainless steel check valve: 

stainless steel has better anti-corrosion and anti-rust performance, mainly used for over waste water, hot water, waste gas and other media.

Brass check valve: 

mainly used for HVAC pipeline, over warm water, hot water, not easy to be rusted; common brass check valve are small diameter, threaded connection.
